Online Abstract Drawing Classes:
General Information:
Drawing classes use Zoom for weekly meetings and the Padlet app to give students a way to share work and access drawing examples, artist links and videos. Padlet is easy to use and requires no special computer skills. Each class has its own Padlet page with separate sections for each student's work, allowing us to share images for viewing and feedback.
Padlet Drawing Resource Pages are tailored for each class and feature a wide range of contemporary drawings, artist interviews, videos and links. The Abstract Drawing Materials Page includes resources for dry, wet and wet/dry drawing materials as well as useful papers and sketchbooks.
Class format includes weekly discussion of a contemporary art video, in-class drawing exercises and presentation of individual new work with feedback. Follow up emails after each class offer ideas and assignment suggestions. Each class is recorded for students who have to miss a session or would simply like to review. Class size is limited to 10.
